GALLOWAY, NJ – The Rowan University women’s soccer team lost at Richard Stockton College, 1-0 in a New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) game on Wednesday night.

Forward Jacque Becker (jr. Hamilton Twp., NJ/Steinert) scored the winning goal at 57:37.  It was her eighth goal on the season.  She leads the team in scoring with 17 points.

The Ospreys are 7-2-1 overall and 2-1 in the conference.  The Profs have a 5-2 record with a 2-1 NJAC mark.  This week, Richard Stockton was ranked sixth in the South Atlantic Region and Rowan followed seventh.

The Ospreys totaled 16 shots and the Profs had two.  Goalie Sarah Hinkle (jr. Mullica Hill, NJ/Paul VI) made one save for her second shutout.  Rowan goalkeeper Maria Dorris (sr. Mantua, NJ/Clearview Reg.) turned away eight shots.

Rowan travels to William Paterson University on Saturday, September 29 for a 1 p.m. conference game.
