NORTH DARTMOUTH, MA – The Rowan University men’s cross country team took seventh in the varsity race at the UMass Dartmouth Invitational on Saturday.  There were 39 schools that competed in the 8K run.

The Profs’ Mike Carotenuto (sr. Port Monmouth, NJ/Middletown N.) finished 24th with a time of 25:52.  There were a total of 293 runners in the men’s varsity race.  Jon Sewnig (so. Yardville, NJ/Notre Dame) came in 40th (26:15) and Ethan Wolmark (jr. Medford, NJ/Shawnee) was 56th (26:30). 

Rounding out the scoring were Tim Dole (fr. Mantua, NJ/Cleariew Reg.) and Adam Ross (fr. Fair Lawn, NJ/Fair Lawn) who were 72nd (26:46) and 85th (26:57) respectively.  Dave Quimby (so. Mount Laurel, NJ/Lenape) had a 93rd place (27:03) and Jeff Tauriello (jr. Florham Park, NJ/Hanover Park, NJ) was 98th (27:06).  Jesse Spector (so. Rockaway, NJ/Morris Hills) took 107th (27:15). 

In the men’s sub varsity run, Rowan was fourth out of 16 teams.  Rob Buzby (so. Medford, NJ/Shawnee) came in 23rd (27:33) while Raj Singh (so. Parsippany, NJ/Parsippany Hills) was 25th (27:35).  Dan Murray (fr. Seaville, NJ/Ocean City) finished 30th (27:57).  Joe Hartline (fr. Williamstown, NJ/Buena Reg.) took 37th place (28:08) and Joe Mineo (jr. Sewell, NJ/Washington Twp.) came in 44th (28:12).  Mike Lewis (so. Glen Mills, PA/Downingtown W.) had a 50th place (28:20).  Will Smith (so. Cranford, NJ/Cranford) took 72nd (28:59) followed by Evan Norwood (jr. Matawan, NJ/Matawan Reg.) 77th (29:14).

Rowan will have a week off before the Lehigh Paul Short Invitational on Friday, September 28.
