SALISBURY, MD – The Rowan University men’s cross country team finished in sixth place at the Salisbury University Fall Classic on Saturday. The 8K race was held at Winter Place Park.
The U.S. Naval Academy won the men’s team title. Rowan’s first runner to cross the finish line was Mike Carotenuto (sr. Port Monmouth, NJ/Middletown S.) who was 13th overall with a time of 27:11. Adam Ross (fr. Fair Lawn, NJ/Fair Lawn) came in 34th (28:13) followed by Raj Singh (so. Parsippany, NJ/Parsippany Hills) 35th (28:17). Also scoring were Ethan Wolmark (jr. Medford, NJ/Shawnee), 43rd (28:32.32) and Tim Dole (fr. Mantua, NJ/Clearview Reg.), 44th (28:34).
Jon Sewnig (so. Yardville, NJ/Notre Dame) took 50th place (28:43) while Jesse Spector (so. Rockaway, NJ/Morris Hills) and Rob Buzby (so. Medford, NJ/Shawnee) were 60th (29:14) and 61st (29:14) respectively. Joe Hartline (fr. Williamstown, NJ/Buena Reg.) finished 68th (29:25) and Alec Lippincott (so. Laurel Springs, NJ/Highland Reg.) was 85th (30:43).
Next Saturday, Rowan travels to Van Cortlandt Park in Bronx, NY for the Fordham Invitational.
