SALISBURY, MD  – The Rowan University men’s swim team defeated Salisbury University, 159-101 on Tuesday night. 

The Profs’ 200 meter medley relay of Larry Dow (jr. Alexandria, VA/T.C. Williams), Tyler Coe (fr. North Brunswick, NJ/North Brunswick), Pat Malone (jr. Sewell, NJ/Gloucester Catholic) and Ben Cain (so. Absecon, NJ/Holy Spirit) won with a time of 1:49.42.  The 200 meter freestyle relay had a winning time of 1:36.61.  The free relay consisted of Max Tyburski (sr. Burke, VA/Lake Braddock Secondary), Cain, Tim Dimond (sr. Allentown, PA/Emmaus) and Dow. 

Rowan captured first place in all 12 individual events.  Tyburski won the 50 (23.65) and 100 (54.59) meter freestyles.  Dimond took first in the 200 (2:19.83) and 100 (1:01.87) butterflies.  Coe finished first in the 100 (1:08.07) and 200 (2:33.89) meter breaststrokes.

Malone came in first in the 200 meter backstroke (2:18.25) and 200 meter individual medley (2:15.66). Kyle Surette (fr. Martinsville, NJ/Bridgewater-Raritan) was the winner in the 100 meter backstroke (1:03.67) and 400 meter freestyle (4:23.00).  Dow took first in the 200 meter freestyle (1:59.95).

Zac Wister (so. Haddon Heights, NJ/Haddon Heights) won the 800 meter freestyle (9:02.96) and was third in 200 meter backstroke (2:18.91).  In the 100 meter breaststroke, Patrick Myers (fr. Kennett Square, PA/Kennett) was second (1:11.75) followed by Liam Tully (so. Cedar Grove, NJ/St. Peter’s Prep), third (1:16.41).  Joe Licwinko (so. Kenilworth, NJ/David Brearley) came in second in the 100 meter freestyle (57.31).  Alex Miller (fr. Fair Lawn, NJ/Fair Lawn) had a third place (2:32.26) in the 200 meter butterfly.

Rowan (1-3) will host Cabrini College in the home opener on Thursday, November 1 at 6 p.m.
