ASTON, PA – The Neumann University women’s volleyball team defeated Rowan University, 3-0 on the first day of the Knights Fall Classic.  The set scores were 25-21, 25-18 and 25-19.

The Knights are 14-7 overall, while the Profs have a 17-7 record.  Middle hitter Natalie George (sr. Rutledge, PA/Strath Haven) posted 13 kills and a .345 hitting percentage.  Outside hitter Katelin Kuklentz (jr. Spring City, PA/St. Pius) added 10 kills and 13 digs.  Setter Cecily Scavicchio (sr. Boothwyn, PA/Garnet Valley) collected 29 assists and 11 digs.  Libero Victoria Limmina (sr. Wilmington, DE/Padua Academy) tallied 15 digs.

For Rowan, middle blocker Nikki Binetti (so. Brick, NJ/Brick Twp.) and outside hitter/middle blocker Krissy Collins (jr. Williamstown, NJ/Williamstown) registered five kills apiece.  Outside hitter Katie Havlicek (sr. Midland Park, NJ/Immaculate Heart Academy) recorded 13 digs, while libero Lauren Ruffalo (jr. Marlton, NJ/Cherokee) had 12.  Setter Nicole Ciandella (jr. Hoboken, NJ/Roselle Catholic) contributed with 20 assists.

The Knights Fall Classic continues on Saturday, October 13.  Rowan plays Ursinus College at 10 a.m. and Franklin & Marshall College at 2 p.m.
