Women's Volleyball Drops Two Matches On Second Day Of Spartan Invitational

YORK, PA – The Rowan University women’s volleyball team lost two matches on the second day of the Spartan Invitational hosted by York College (PA). The Profs were defeated by Salisbury University, 3-1 and SUNY Institute of Technology, 3-1.

Against Salisbury (15-1), the set scores were 25-20, 25-10, 25-27 and 25-12. For Rowan, outside hitter/middle Elaina Hansen (so. Monroe Twp., NJ/Monroe Twp.) collected four kills and four blocks. Setter Kelsey Donovan (so. Bridgewater, NJ/Bridgewater-Raritan) tallied six assists and five digs. Libero Lauren Ruffalo (so. Marlton, NJ/Cherokee) compiled 21 digs. Outside hitter/middle blocker Sarah Hanrahan (fr. Montvale, NJ/Pascack Hills) posted five blocks.

Versus SUNY Institute of Technology (9-8), the set scores were 25-23, 25-19, 23-25 and 25-15. Profs’ outside hitter/middle blocker Dakota Oeskovic (so. Pine Beach, NJ/Toms River S.) registered 12 kills and two blocks. Outside hitter/middle blocker Krissy Collins (so. Williamstown, NJ/Williamstown) followed with nine kills and two blocks. Hansen contributed with seven kills. Donovan dished 25 assists and had eight digs. Ruffalo added 12 digs.

Rowan (5-5) travels to Kean University for a New Jersey Athletic Conference match on Tuesday, September 27 at 7 p.m.
