MONTCLAIR, NJ –Rowan University forward Erika Suhl netted a goal at 98:16 in the first overtime to defeat Montclair State, 1-0 in a New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) game on Saturday afternoon.

After a scoreless regulation, midfielder Dayna Sakalsky (so. Long Valley, NJ/West Morris Central) sent a cross that Suhl (fr. Brick, NJ/Brick Mem.) headed into the net to end the game.

With the win, the Profs improve to 2-2, while the loss drops the Red Hawks to 3-3. It was the first NJAC game for both teams.

Rowan outshot Montclair State, 22-10. Goalkeeper Lyndsie Bernardini (jr. Elmer, NJ/A.P. Schalick) stopped six shots for the shutout. Red Hawk goalie Gina Policastro (fr. East Brunswick, NJ/East Brunswick) recorded five saves.

Rowan visits Salisbury University in a nonconference game on Monday, September 19 at 4 p.m.
