Rowan Plays Two Matches at Worthington Classic

WASHINGTON, DC – The Rowan University women’s volleyball team played two matches on the first day of the Worthington Classic that is being held at Gallaudet University.  The Profs lost to Catholic University, 3-0 and Virginia Wesleyan College, 3-0.
 
On Saturday, Rowan (9-9) meets Keuka College at 10 a.m. followed by pool play at 2 or 4 p.m.  Catholic won with set scores of 25-18, 25-23 and 25-20.  The Cardinals are 16-2 overall. 
 
Versus Catholic, Rowan outside hitter/middle blocker Krissy Collins (so. Williamstown, NJ/Williamstown) totaled 11 kills and six digs.  Outside hitter/middle blocker Dakota Oeskovic (so. Pine Beach, NJ/Toms River S.) and outside hitter Jamie Leishman (jr. Midland Park, NJ/Midland Park) contributed with six kills apiece.  Setter Kelsey Donovan (so. Bridgewater, NJ/Bridgewater-Raritan) collected 24 assists.  Libero Lauren Ruffalo (so. Marlton, NJ/Cherokee) registered 17 digs.    
 
The set scores against Virginia Wesleyan were 25-15, 25-16 and 25-14. Oeskovic tallied nine kills and Collins followed with five. Leishman tallied 19 assists and Ruffalo had six digs.
