GLASSBORO, NJ – The Ramapo College women’s volleyball team had a 3-0 victory over Rowan University in a New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) match on Tuesday night.
The Roadrunners improve to 14-4 overall and 4-1 in the conference. The Profs have a 10-11 record with a 3-2 NJAC mark. The set scores were 25-14, 25-17 and 25-21.
Ramapo was led by outside hitter Michelle Ferrari (sr. Marlton, NJ/Cherokee) with 11 kills and 15 digs. Outside hitter Julia Tuzio (jr. Paramus, NJ/Paramus) totaled nine kills and 10 digs. Outside hitter Deandra Black (fr. Westfield, NJ/East Brunswick) registered eight kills. Setter Tiffany Fischer (sr. Woodcliff Lake, NJ/Pascack Hills) accumulated 28 assists and three service aces. Libero Elizabeth Steck (sr. Marlton, NJ/Cherokee) tallied 17 digs.
For Rowan, outside hitter/middle blocker Krissy Collins (so. Williamstown, NJ/Williamstown) compiled eight kills. Middle blocker Elaina Hansen (so. Monroe Twp., NJ/Monroe Twp.) contributed with three kills and three blocks. Setter Kelsey Donovan (so. Bridgewater, NJ/Bridgewater-Raritan) collected 13 assists and seven digs. Libero Lauren Ruffalo (so. Marlton, NJ/Cherokee) added a match-high 18 digs.
On Thursday, October 13, Rowan hosts Swarthmore College in a nonconference match at 7 p.m.
