GLASSBORO, NJ – The Rowan University women’s volleyball team had a 3-0 victory over Gwynedd-Mercy College in a nonconference match on Thursday night. The set scores were 25-7, 25-16 and 25-22.

The Profs improve to 4-1 on the season. The Griffins have a 2-9 record. Rowan setter Kelsey Donovan (fr. Bridgewater, NJ/Bridgewater-Raritan) compiled 14 assists, nine digs and four service aces. Opposite Megan Mondelli (so. Wayne, NJ/Wayne Valley) contributed with four kills, seven digs, two blocks and two aces. Middle blocker Nikki Binetti (fr. Brick, NJ/Brick Twp.) and outside hitter Katie Havlicek (so. Midland Park, NJ/Immaculate Heart Academy) posted three kills apiece. Libero Lauren Ruffalo (fr. Marlton, NJ/Cherokee) added nine digs and middle blocker Krissy Collins (fr. Williamstown, NJ/Williamstown) had five service aces.

For Gwynedd-Mercy, middle blocker Rachel Lambert (fr. Downingtown, PA/Downingtown E.) totaled six kills and six digs. Outside hitter Aileen Reilly (jr. Yardley, PA/Pennsbury) chipped in with three kills and eight digs. Setter Maria Stilwell (jr. Swarthmore, PA/Ridley) collected 10 assists, eight digs and two service aces. Right side Steph Farrar (jr. Lansdale, PA/North Penn) tallied three aces.

Rowan travels to Montclair State University for a conference match on Tuesday, September 21 at 7 p.m.
