GLASSBORO, NJ – The Richard Stockton College women’s volleyball team defeated Rowan University, 3-0 in a New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) match on Wednesday night. The Ospreys won with set scores of 25-14, 25-19 and 25-5.

Richard Stockton improves to 6-2 overall, while Rowan has a 3-1 record. It was the first conference match for both teams. Middle hitter Stephanie Warner (so. Totowa, NJ/Passaic Valley) led the Ospreys with nine kills and four blocks. She had a .474 hitting percentage. Outside hitter Christine Velott (jr. Moorestown, NJ/Moorestown) registered eight kills, eight digs and two blocks. Libero Christine Astarita (sr. Selden, NY/Newfield) posted 29 digs and four service aces. Defensive specialist Allison Kleeman (sr. Cherry Hill, NJ/Cherry Hill W.) had 10 digs and five aces. Setter Mayan Alvarado (fr. Gainesville, FL/P.K. Yonge) dished 15 assists.

For the Profs, middle blocker Krissy Collins (fr. Williamstown, NJ/Williamstown) totaled five kills and five blocks. Libero Lauren Ruffalo (fr. Marlton, NJ/Cherokee) compiled 15 digs, while defensive specialist Casey Grasso (fr. Wilmington, DE/Alexis I. duPont) and opposite Megan Mondelli (so. Wayne, NJ/Wayne Valley) each had 10. Setter Kelsey Donovan (fr. Bridgewater, NJ/Bridgewater-Raritan) collected 13 assists, seven digs and two blocks.
