WASHINGTON, DC – The Rowan University women’s volleyball team went 0-2 at a tri-match on Friday night. The Profs fell to Gallaudet University, 3-0 and Stevenson University, 3-1.

Rowan has a 16-13 record. Against Gallaudet (22-13), the set scores were 28-26, 25-17 and 25-17. For the Profs, middle blockers Dakota Oeskovic (fr. Pine Beach, NJ/Toms River S.), Krissy Collins (fr. Williamstown, NJ/Williamstown) and Elaina Hansen (fr. Monroe Twp., NJ/Monroe Twp.) all registered five kills. Collins and Hansen added five and four blocks respectively. Defensive specialist Casey Grasso (fr. Wilmington, DE/Alexis I. duPont) totaled 11 digs and two service aces. Defensive specialist Sarah Betancourt (jr. Harrington, NJ/Northern Valley Old Tappan) chipped in with 11 digs and setter Kelsey Donovan (fr. Bridgewater, NJ/Bridgewater-Raritan) had 11 assists.

The set scores versus Stevenson (24-7) were 22-25, 25-12, 25-16 and 25-13. Oeskovic tallied 11 kills and seven digs. Outside hitter Katie Havlicek (so. Midland Park, NJ/Immaculate Heart Academy) compiled nine kills and six digs. Libero Lauren Ruffalo (fr. Marlton, NJ/Cherokee) contributed with 12 digs. Donovan dished 22 assists.

Rowan, the fourth seed, hosts fifth seeded William Paterson University in the first round of the New Jersey Athletic Conference Championship Tournament on Tuesday, November 2 at 7 p.m.
