Women's College Brown Race Results
BETHLEHEM, PA – The Rowan University men’s and women’s cross country teams traveled to Lehigh University for the Paul Short Run on Friday. The men won the college white race while the women finished tied for 19th place in the college brown race.
Eric DuBois (jr. Pittsgrove, NJ/A.P. Schalick) took first place in the men’s 8K college white race. He ran a winning time of 26:10. Stephen Mennitt (so. Edison, NJ/Edison) came in second in 26:17. Jeff Terebey (sr. Shamong, NJ/Seneca) was ninth (26:38) in the scoring. Jake McCormack (jr. Cliffwood, NJ/Matawan Reg.) placed 25th (27:01) and Jeff Tauriello (fr. Florham Park, NJ/Hanover Park) was 62nd (27:50).
For the women, Jena Peacock (jr. Williamstown, NJ/Our Lady of Mercy Academy) took fourth in the college white race with a time of 21:59 over the 6K course. In the team scoring, Jenn Rawls (so. Runnemede, NJ/Highland Reg.) was 114th (23:43) and Joy Hanke (so. Cranford, NJ/Cranford) was 121st (23:47). Gabby Prendergast (fr. Blackwood, NJ/Highland Reg.) and Megan Borz (fr. Bunea, NJ/Buena Reg.) were 130th (23:52) and 156th (24:08) respectively.
There were 32 institutions from Divisions I, II and III that competed in the men’s college white race and a total of 293 runners. The women’s college brown race consisted of 41 schools from all three Divisions and 387 competitors.
Next week, Rowan will run at the DeSales University Invitational on Saturday, October 9 that starts at 10:30 a.m.
