SELINSGROVE, PA – The Rowan University women’s volleyball team played two matches on the final day of the Hampton Inn Crusader Classic. York College (PA) edged Rowan, 3-2 and Rowan came back to defeat Montclair State University, 3-1. The two-day classic was hosted by Susquehanna University.

York won with set scores of 25-10, 19-25, 25-9, 18-25 and 15-11. For the Profs, outside hitter Katie Havlicek (fr. Midland Park, NJ/Immaculate Heart Academy) totaled nine kills and middle blocker Chelsea Bowman (sr. Penns Grove, NJ/Park Bible Academy) followed with seven. Bowman also collected seven blocks, five solo and one service ace. Libero Casey Roselle (jr. Sparta, NJ/Sparta) registered 18 digs and opposite Megan Mondelli (fr. Wayne, NJ/Wayne Valley) contributed with 13. Mondelli had four kills, two solo blocks and two aces. Setter Chrissy McKay (sr. Paramus, NJ/Paramus) compiled 18 assists, 11 digs and two kills.

Rowan defeated Montclair State, 25-22, 14-25, 25-21 and 25-23. Havlicek recorded a double-double with 15 kills and 11 digs. She was named to the All-Tournament Team. Bowman had seven kills, four blocks and one ace. McKay accumulated 29 assists and 18 digs while Roselle had 20 digs. Mondelli added eight kills, two aces, two blocks and five digs.

Rowan (7-14) hosts conference opponent Rutgers-Camden on Tuesday, October 13 at 7 p.m.
