GLASSBORO, NJ – The Rowan University women’s volleyball team blanked Immaculata University, 3-0 in a nonconference match on Thursday.

The set scores were 25-16, 27-25 and 25-17. The Profs improve to 9-11, while the Mighty Macs have a 6-8 record.

Middle blocker Theresa Pecoraro (sr. Cresskill, NJ/Cresskill) led the way with 11 kills, three blocks and three service aces. She compiled a .500 hitting percentage. Outside hitter Karen Ramirez (jr. Bogota, NJ/Bogota) registered 19 digs, while libero Casey Roselle (so. Sparta, NJ/Sparta) had 18. Setter Chrissy McKay (jr. Paramus, NJ/Paramus) totaled 15 assists and 10 digs. Setter Sarah Betancourt (fr. Harrington, NJ/Northern Valley Old Tappan) added 10 digs and eight assists.

For Immaculata, middle hitter Terri Reynolds (fr. Ellicott City, MD/Mt. Hebron) posted 10 kills and 10 digs. Outside hitter Nicole Preziuso (fr. Linwood, PA/Chichester) contributed with nine kills and 20 digs. Setter Kathleen Haefner (fr. Lancaster, PA/Manheim Twp.) tallied 14 assists and 13 digs. Defensive specialist Courtney Sahm (fr. Denver, PA/Cocalico) and middle hitter Jayme Lenosky (jr. Reading, PA/Holy Name) had 14 and 10 digs respectively.

Rowan travels to Rutgers-Camden on Tuesday, October 14 at 7 p.m. The match will be played at RiverWinds Community Center in Thorofare, NJ.
