Women's Volleyball Comes Back To Defeat William Paterson, 3-2

WAYNE, NJ – The Rowan University women’s volleyball team won its second conference match with a 3-2 victory over host William Paterson on Thursday night.

The Profs lost the first two games, 30-15 and 30-26, then came back to take three straight, 30-27, 30-28 and 15-13. Rowan is 4-7 overall and 2-1 in the New Jersey Athletic Conference. William Paterson is 9-2 on the season with a 1-2 conference mark.

Outside hitter Siobahn Young (fr. Mullica Hill, NJ/Clearview Reg.) and outside hitter Alexis Louie (jr. Sewell, NJ/Washington Twp.) compiled 25 and 22 kills respectively. Young also totaled 27 digs and 10 assists. Louie contributed with 25 digs and two service aces.

Setter Chrissy McKay (so. Paramus, NJ/Paramus) recorded 36 assists and 12 digs. Outside hitter Theresa Pecoraro (sr. Cresskill, NJ/Cresskill) added 11 kills, 12 assists and 10 digs. Defensive specialist Samantha Labriola (so. Wallington, NJ/Wallington) and outside hitter Casey Roselle (fr. Sparta, NJ/Sparta) had 20 and 18 digs respectively.

Rowan is on the road again at Kean University on Tuesday, September 25 for a 7 p.m. conference match.
