Pitcher Lauren Shannon (so. Sewell, NJ/Washington Twp.) led the softball team to five wins. She conceded just two earned runs in 24 innings while striking out 27. Shannon hurled a perfect game with 10 strikeouts in a 9-0 win over Rutgers-Camden (April 17). She earned the victory (4-2) in relief in game one against Neumann University (April 18) and followed up with a complete game shutout (8-0) in the nightcap. Shannon tossed 4.2 innings in a 2-1 win at William Paterson University (April 21) before ending with a complete game and seven strikeouts in a 6-1 victory against Kean University (April 22). She was chosen the NJAC Pitcher of the Week for the second straight week and third time overall.
