Kyle Hayes (fr. Pt. Pleasant, NJ/Pt. Pleasant Boro) helped the men’s indoor track team to an eighth place finish at the Collegeville Classic (Jan. 18). In his first collegiate meet, Hayes won the long jump with a distance of 23’3.5” (7.10 meters). His jump was better than the NCAA provisional qualifier (6.96 meters). It is currently the top distance in Division III. Hayes also captured fourth place in the 55 meter dash (6.65) and sixth in the 200 meters (23.61). For his performance, he was selected the New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) Rookie of the Week.
