Melirah Searcy (sr. Edison, NJ/Edison) earned All-America honors in the 400 meter hurdles and as a member of the 4x400 meter relay team. Searcy took eighth (1:02.68) in the 400 meter hurdles final. She advanced to the final after finishing third (1:01.90) in her qualifying heat. The relay team came in seventh place (3:51.93) in the final.
