Center Kate Matthews (jr. Clark, NJ/Arthur L. Johnson) was key in helping the women’s bas- ketball team earn two victories to start the year. She recorded a double-double with 17 points and 11 rebounds in a 61-57 win at Immaculata University (Nov. 15). Matthews also tallied four steals, two assists and two blocks. In the home opener versus Penn State Brandywine (Nov. 17), she produced six points, five rebounds, two steals and one assist in a 89-53 triumph.
