Center Kate Matthews (so. Clark, NJ/Arthur L. Johnson) helped the women’s basketball win the Jim Crawley Tip-Off Tournament in Frostburg, MD. In the first round against Frostburg State University (Nov. 16), she scored a career best 28 points, pulled down 11 rebounds and blocked three shots. In the championship versus Albright College (Nov. 17), Matthews compiled 17 points and 11 rebounds. She was named the tournament’s Most Valuable Player. Matthews received NJAC Player of the Week honors. She currently leads the conference with 22.5 points per game.
