Pierre James (so. Somerset, NJ/Franklin) helped the men’s indoor track team win the Collegeville Classic (Jan. 21). He took first place in the shot put with a throw of 51’ 5.5” (15.68 meters). His toss was better than the NCAA provisional of 50’ 10.25” (15.50 meters). James currently has the ninth best throw in Division III this season. For his performance, he was named the New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) Field Athlete of the Week.
