Matt Tholis (fr. Montgomery, NJ/Montgomery) won the javelin at the Lions’ Invitational (Apr. 25). He recorded a throw of 198’ 7” (60.54 meters), which was better than the NCAA Division III provisional (188’ 8”, 57.50 meters). Tholis improved upon his previous NCAA provisional of 192’ 1.5” (58.57 meters) at the Wake Forest Open (Mar. 21). He was named the New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) Rookie of the Week for the second time this season.
