Mandy Jiang was named Assistant Athletic Director for Compliance and Academic Support at Rowan University in April 2022. Jiang moved into a new position at Rowan after serving as the athletic department’s academic coordinator for support since 2020 as well as spending the last five seasons as an assistant coach for the Profs’ women’s basketball team.

In her role as academic coordinator, she developed the first-ever comprehensive plan for student-athletes to promote academic success and retention, which included the implementation of study halls and academic counseling.

She assisted with all aspects of the Rowan women’s basketball program since 2017, as the Profs won 73 games during that time and captured the 2019 NJAC Championship.

A 2017 graduate of Rowan with a bachelor’s degree in health and physical education, the native of Kearny, NJ, received a master’s degree in higher education administration from the University in 2020. While pursuing that degree, she worked as a graduate research assistant in the Dean’s Office in the College of Education.

As an athletic department intern in 2020, Jiang developed and spearheaded the “Prof Cup” – a successful year-long competition amongst all athletic teams based on Rowan’s core values.

A former Prof student-athlete, Jiang was a member of the women’s basketball team from 2013 to 2017 and served as team captain her senior year. She was the recipient of the program’s Joy Solomen Leadership Award, received NJAC All-Academic Honorable Mention twice and was a four-time Rowan Scholar-Athlete while earning induction into the Chi Alpha Sigma National College Athlete Honor Society in 2016.
