Tyron Harris joined the Rowan football coaching staff in 2022 as the wide receivers coach and minority intern, bringing collegiate playing experience as well as high school coaching experience to the Profs.
 
Most recently, Harris was the offensive coordinator for Camden High School. In two years he coached on All-State selection, two All-Conference honorees and school-record setting quarterback Jalin Brownlee, who was the South Jersey Player of the Year. He also spent the 2019 season at Timber Creek high school, coaching wide receivers and defensive backs, but started his coaching career at Camden in 2018, as the squad reached the sectional championship game while seeing two wide receivers being named to the All-Conference team.
 
Harris had a successful playing career, being named a JUCO All-American in 2010 while at Pierce College in Woodland Hills, CA. An All-Conference Second Team selection in 2009, he helped the Bulls to an 8-3 record and a win in the American Championship Bowl in 2010.
 
He continued his playing career at Temple University from 2011 to 2013 and played one year at North Carolina Central while in graduate school.
 
Harris went to training camp with Edmonton of the Canadian Football League, while he also had workouts with the San Diego Chargers and the Carolina Panthers.
 
He founded a sports performance training organization, ACE Training, to help athletes receive on field performance training. The group mainly trained wide receivers and defensive backs in the tri-state area, while helped developed numerous high school athletes who earned Division I scholarships.
 
Originally from Lindenwold, NJ, Harris received his bachelor’s degree in communications from Temple and earned a master’s degree in sports management from Wilmington University.
