Tyler Hines joins the Rowan basketball staff in 2024-25 as an assistant coach, bringing collegiate and professional playing experience to the Profs.
Hines was a four-year player at Maryland-Eastern Shore, receiving All-MEAC Honorable Mention in 2012 and being named to the conference’s All-Defensive Team. He was the Hawks’ MVP his senior year after earning the squad’s Most Improved Player award in 2010. An All-Academic Team honoree, Hines led UMES in rebounds, blocks, field goal percentage and double-doubles.
He enjoyed a professional career overseas from 2012 to 2018, playing for teams in Greece, Germany, Macedonia, Cyprus and Austria, as well as Puerto Rico.
He is the co-founder of both the Team Hines Basketball Academy and Elite Level Athlete Training and runs The Mentoring Group, LLC.
A native of Sicklerville, NJ, who played at Timber Creek High School, Hines received his bachelor’s degree in English from UMES and went on to earn his master’s degree in youth counseling from Wilmington University.
