Liz Madden joined the coaching staff for the Rowan men’s and women’s track & field teams during the 2019-20 season and oversees the throwers on both squads. She was named interim head coach for the women's track & field team in October 2023.
 
The 2014 graduate of East Stroudsburg University was an NCAA qualifier and school-record holder in the weight throw. She captured the PSAC championship in the event twice and was a four-year All-Conference performer. Madden was named to the USTFCCCA All-Atlantic Region Team three times as well.

Madden owns a  sports performance facility for young athletes, Parisi South Jersey. She works with athletes as young as six years old and above on their speed, agility and strength while also holding private volleyball and throws skill sessions. She is one of six Master coaches with the Parisi Speed School and travels around the country certifying new Parisi performance coaches.

Prior to joining the Profs, she was a volunteer throws coach at Shawnee High School for six years and then at East Stroudsburg from 2014 to 2015, while serving as a graduate assistant in the athletic department.  
 
Also a volleyball player at East Stroudsburg, Madden received her bachelor’s degree in biology/pre-physical therapy and earned a master’s degree in exercise science in 2015.
