Milton Goode is in his fourth season as an assistant coach for the Rowan University men's track & field team. He works with the Profs' high jumpers. Goode has coached two conference champions and three All-Americans in the event.
 
Goode represented the United States at the 1984 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles. He competed in the high jump and reached the final round after tying for first in the prelims with a height of 7’ 4.25” (2.24 m). Goode made the U.S. team by placing third at the Olympic Trials. He finished second at the national championships in 1981 and fifth in 1983.
 
Goode competed collegiately at Alameda Junior College (CA), where he won the national championship in 1981 (7’ 5.25”, 2.26 m). He took first (7’ 7”, 2.31 m) at the 1982 Millrose Games in Madison Square Garden.
 
A 1979 graduate of Monmouth Regional High School, Goode set the state record in the high jump at 7’ 2.25” (2.19 m), a mark that stood for 11 years, and won the Meet of Champions as a senior. He also captured the title at the Penn Relays with a height of 7’ (2.13 m).
 
Goode was a member of the inaugural class of the Shore Track Coaches Association Hall of Fame in 2014. He is a native of Tinton Falls, NJ.
