Kate Lavin

Kate Lavin starts her third season as assistant coach with the Rowan University softball team.

Lavin played center field for the Profs from 2005-06. In 87 career games, she totaled 91 hits, 56 runs, 23 runs batted in and 45 stolen bases. She also compiled a .370 batting average, a .398 slugging percentage and .415 on-base percentage.

Lavin earned National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) East All-Region first team honors and made the NCAA Regional All-Tournament team in 2006. In 2005, she was selected to the New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) All-Conference second team.

Lavin transferred from Gloucester County College where she received All-Conference and All-Region first team honors. In addition, she was a NJCAA All-American and NFCA All-American twice.

Lavin earned a bachelor’s of arts degree from the University in health and exercise science in 2008. She lives in Washington Township, NJ.
