This season, Laspata joins the Rowan University softball staff as an assistant coach.
 
She was a pitcher for the Profs for three years (1999-2001).  Laspata had a 1.65 career earned run average (ERA) with 359 strikeouts.  She compiled a 57-15 record on the mound.  Laspata is tied for the school record for saves in a career with five.
 
Her rookie season, she recorded 11 shutouts in 27 starts and had a 24-5 record.  She threw 173.1 innings and posted a 1.41 ERA and struck out 166 batters.  Laspata was chosen the New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) Pitcher of the Year. She was named to the All-Conference and All-Region first teams and the All-America second team.
 
In 2000, she was 18-4 on the mound with a 1.68 ERA and 113 strikeouts.  Laspata was an All-America third team selection and on the All-Conference and All-Region first teams.  She finished the 2001 season with a 15-6 mark and four saves.  Laspata had a 1.92 ERA and 80 strikeouts.
 
During her career, Rowan totaled a 103-34 won-loss record.  The Profs won the 1999 NCAA Regional and advanced to the NCAA Division III Championship Tournament.  In 2001, the softball team won the NJAC Championship  and played in the NCAA Regional.  
 
Laspata has served as the pitching coach for three years at Division I La Salle University.  She was also the pitching coach at Camden Catholic High School for one season.
