Coach Manny Perdue enters his first season as assistant sprints coach assisting head coach Dustin Dimit and coach Norman Tate. One of the top high school sprints coaches in South Jersey, Perdue earned a reputation for identifying and developing talent. After establishing the Perdue Athletics, a youth track club that also serves as a speed and performance training Company in 2012, he quickly became one of South Jersey’s top youth coaches and co-founded the grass roots youth league the TSTFA (Tri State Track & Field Association). 
 
Perdue has mentored and developed over 26 New Balance high school national qualifiers. 30 NJSIAA state champions, 51 NJSIAA South Jersey sectional champions, and 67 conference champions. two first team all-state athletes, 11 first team all-South Jersey athletes, and 67 first team all-conference and 24 national champions, and 88 USATF/AAU national qualifiers.
 
Perdue became the head coach of the boy’s track and field program at Clayton High School in 2016 where he quickly developed a strong sprints program. The following season, Perdue also took over as the girl’s sprint coach as well. During his tenure over Clayton’s program between spring of 2016 through the winter of 2022, coach led the Clippers girls’ indoor program to the 2022 NJSIAA state relays runner up. Perdue also led the Clippers boys’ program to the 2021 NJSIAA outdoor Group 1 state championship and South Jersey sectional team titles with five consecutive Tri County Classic Division championships team titles from 2016-2021 boosting a 27-0 record as well as back-to-back NJSIAA state and South Jersey sectional team runner up 2019 & 2018.
 
As an athlete, Perdue competed for Lincoln University in 2002 and participated in the NCAA Division III National Championships, IC4A’s and ECAC Championship meets competing in the 100m 200m and 4x100 relay respectively. Prior to attending Lincoln, Perdue competed for Benedict college in Columbia, SC in 2000. 
 
While at Benedict College his highlight was competing at the NAIA outdoor national championship held at Simon Fraser University in Abbotsford, British Columbia, Canada where he held a personal record time in the 100m 10.47 seconds and 200m in 21.75 seconds and finished the season ranked 16th nationally in the 100m dash where he was named first team all-conference. 
 
Coach Manny Perdue is a loving and devoted father to six lovely kids. Major Perdue, Marino Perdue, Marina Perdue, Mirrah Perdue, Manny Perdue II, and Madison Perdue, A 2002 graduate from Lincoln University, Perdue earned a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice. He currently attends Widener University, on course to earn his MBA in Organizational Development and Leadership
