This is Nick Nocco’s second season as a volunteer assistant coach for the Rowan University men’s cross country and track & field teams.
Nocco was on the Profs’ cross country and track & field teams for four years (2014-18). His senior year, he came in 11th(26:10.24) at the New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) Championships and earned All-Conference second team honors. Rowan won the conference championship and ended The College of New Jersey’s 23-year reign. He had a season best of 25:38.6 at the NCAA Atlantic Regional. A team captain, Nocco competed at the NCAA Division III Championships.
At the 2018 NJAC Outdoor Track Championships, Nocco took first place in the 3000 meter steeplechase (9:38.65) and was a member of the NJAC All-Conference first team. Nocco ran on the third place 4x800 meter relay (7:59.91) and he was fifth (9:49.75) in the 3000 meter steeplechase at the All-Atlantic Region Conference Championships.
Nocco was a four-time Rowan Scholar-Athlete. He was selected to the CoSIDA/Google Cloud Academic All-District II Team and the NJAC All-Academic first team. Nocco graduated from the University with a bachelor’s in mechanical engineering.
