Eric DuBois is in his 12th year as an assistant coach with both the men’s and women's cross country and track & field teams in 2024-25, working primarily with the Profs’ distance runners.
Rowan's runners have had a great deal of success under DuBois' tutelage, with Justin Kelly being the most recent to win the NJAC individual title in 2022, while the Profs captured the team championship. He would help the squad win another conference crown in 2023.
In 2018, the Profs captured the NJAC Championship in indoor and outdoor track & field. Rowan had four distance individuals and two relays earn NJAC All-Conference honors in track & field and placed four on the All-Conference Cross Country Team. Daniel "Fitch" Henry was the conference's Runner of the Year and Cyril Harvey was the Rookie of the Year. Matt Russo competed at the NCAA Division III Championships.
In 2017, Rowan was the conference champion in cross country and indoor and outdoor track & field. The team had 11 distance individuals and two relays that received All-Conference honors in track & field and five were on the All-Conference Cross Country Team. Kevin Veltre was the NJAC Cross Country Runner of the Year and finished 13th(24:39.62) at the NCAA Division III Championships for All-America accolades.
In 2016-17, Rowan won the NJAC Championship in both indoor and outdoor track & field and came in second in cross country. The Profs earned 13 All-Conference honors in the distance events and five in cross country. Jose Figueroa was named the conference's Cross Country Rookie of the Year and Veltre qualified for the NCAA Division III Championships.
In 2015-16, the Profs captured both the NJAC indoor and outdoor track & field titles for the second consecutive year. Rowan received All-Conference honors nine times in distance events. Three runners were All-Conference in cross country. In 2014-15, Rowan won its first NJAC Indoor Championship and followed it up with the NJAC outdoor title. At the indoor championships, the men won the 5000 meters and the distance medley relay with 13 distance runners accounting for a total of 52 points. Outdoors, the men won the 10,000 meters and 3000 meter steeplechase, with 11 distance runners collecting 57 points.
During DuBois’ tenure, Rowan has had 21 individual champions in the distance events at the indoor and outdoor conference championships. Pat McCurry qualified for the 2015 NCAA Division III Championships in the 3000 meter steeplechase and finished 10th. Veltre was a national qualifier in the 3000 meter steeplechase in 2017 (ninth) and 2018 (15th).
The cross country team finished second at the NJAC Championships from 2013-14, missing the title by just one point in 2013. The Profs produced the individual conference champion twice, Jon Sewnig (2014) and Rob Rawls (2013), along with 11 All-Conference selections. Four runners were named to the U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) Atlantic All-Region team and five were selected Academic All-Americans by the USTFCCCA. Sewnig qualified for the NCAA Division III Championships in 2014.
While competing for Rowan, DuBois was a three-time NJAC All-Conference runner in cross country and was the 2010 conference runner-up. On the track, he captured the indoor NJAC title in the 3000 meters, won the 5000 meters at both the Eastern College Athletic Conference Indoor and Outdoor Championships in record-setting times and qualified for the 2012 NCAA Division III Championships in the 5000 meters. DuBois was also a two-time cross country national qualifier. In 2011, he had a 67th place finish (25:03) and was 45th (25:06) in 2010.
DuBois earned his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in civil engineering from Rowan.
