Michael Manall returns to the Profs’ staff after a one year hiatus. This season, he will serve as the team’s defensive line coach. Previously, he was the defensive backs coach at Rowan University from 2006-07.
Manall has been an english teacher at Maple Shade High School since 1997. In his time there, Manall has served as the assistant boys track coach, the assistant wrestling coach since 2002 and an assistant football coach from 1997-2001. Manall has helped guide the track team to two South Jersey Group I Championships and six divisional titles. The football team reached the South Jersey Group I playoffs in 1998.
Prior to Rowan, Manall was the defensive coordinator at Gateway Regional High School from 2004-2005. His team advanced to the South Jersey Group I playoffs in 2004, marking the first time Gateway made the playoffs since 1984. He returned to Gateway as the defensive coordinator during the 2008 season. Manall served as the defensive backs coach at West Deptford High School in 2003, helping them to a conference and Group II championship.
Manall earned his bachelor’s of science degree in communications from Clarion University of Pennsylvania in 1986. He later earned a post-bachelor’s degree in secondary education from Rowan University in 1996. Manall currently resides in Somerdale, NJ.
