Kurt Kingett begins his fourth season in 2024 as Special Teams Coordinator/Defensive Backs Coach for the Rowan football team.
A standout at Rowan as a player, Kingett was elevated to the position after spending the past five years on the Profs' staff, where he was the Co-Special Teams Coordinator and Lead Defensive Backs Coach. He also oversaw the program's social media efforts and will continue to do so in his new full-time role.
"We are excited to have Kurt transition into a more impactful role within the football program. I am personally anxious to see his creativity as our new Special Teams Coordinator. As a player, student and coach, Kurt has always incorporated a tremendous work ethic in everything that he does. His calm and cool demeanor translates to all the players that he coaches. What truly makes him such an important part of our Prof family is his passion for Rowan University and our football program," said head coach Jay Accorsi.
Kingett was a defensive back for Rowan from 2011 to 2014 and helped the Profs to two NJAC titles and three appearances in the NCAA Division III playoffs. He was a two-time All-NJAC performer, being named to the First Team in 2014 after selection to the Second Team in 2012.
Kingett, who totaled 114 tackles and four interceptions in 38 career games, was named to the USA College Football All-America Second Team in 2014.
A team captain, he received NJAC All-Academic Honorable Mention in 2013 and in 2014, and was the recipient of the Richard Wackar Brown & Gold Gridiron Club Award, given to the senior player who most exemplifies Profs' Football.
While working with the Profs, Kingett has also served as an internal auditor with Holman Enterprises in Mt. Laurel, NJ, for five years.
The native of Sewell, NJ, and graduate of St. Augustine Prep, earned his bachelor's degree in accounting from Rowan in 2013 and received his MBA in 2015.
