Farid Syed has been the defensive line coach at Rowan University since 2011. He is also a health and physical education teacher at Pennsauken High School.
Syed graduated from the University with a bachelor’s degree in health and exercise science in 2008. He was a defensive tackle/nose guard on the Profs’ football team from 2002-04 and in 2006. In 39 games, Syed compiled 81 tackles (33 solo, 48 assisted), nine tackles for a loss (-27 yards) and three sacks (-15 yards).
Prior to Rowan, Syed served as an assistant offensive/defensive line coach at Lindenwold High School from 2008-10. He was a volunteer assistant offensive/defensive line coach at Williamstown High School from 2007-08. Syed was an assistant track and field coach at Williamstown in 2008. He has also coached wrestling and track.
