Dez Ralston joined the Rowan staff in 2019 and will continue to serve as a John Green Fellow and work with the Profs’ linebackers.
 
In 2018, Ralston was the quality control coach at the University of Louisiana, which won the Sun Belt West title that year and was the runner-up to Tulane in the 2018 AutoNation Cure Bowl in Orlando.
 
A native of Aliso Viejo, CA, he started his coaching career at JSerra Catholic High School as the defensive backs coach. He also coached at Santa Margarita Catholic High School (CA) from 2013-14 and at his alma mater, Bacone College (OK) in 2012.
 
Ralston was a U.S. Army Ranger in 75th Ranger Regiment, 1st Ranger Battalion in Savannah, GA, and was an Honor graduate, placing at the top of the class in the Ranger Assessment and Selection Program.
 
A two-year member of the Bacone College football team from 2009-10, he graduated from there with a bachelor’s degree in sport management. In the summer of 2021, he received his master’s degree from Rowan in wellness and lifestyle management and is currently pursuing his second master’s in dietetics.
