Shea Harris

Shea Harris is in his first year as an assistant coach for the Rowan University baseball team.

Harris joins the Profs’ staff after playing seven years of pro ball, most recently with the Camden Riversharks of the Atlantic League of Professional Baseball from 2010-13. While on the Delaware Riverfront, he competed under former major leaguer Von Hayes and caught the only no-hitter in franchise history and the sixth in league history.

Before Camden, Harris was on the Atlantic League’s Bridgeport Bluefish from 2008-10, where he was coached by four-time major league all-star Tommy John. He spent parts of the 2007 campaign with the Sioux City Explorers of the American Association of Independent Professional Baseball and the Atlantic City Surf of the Canadian-American Association of Professional Baseball.
Harris’ coaching experience began as a catching/hitting instructor at Tri-State Elite Baseball Academy in Sewell, NJ from 2005-13. He was the catching/hitting coach for NCAA Division II Pfeiffer University (NC) during the 2008 season.

Harris earned a bachelor’s degree in sports management from Gardner-Webb University in 2007. He played two years for the Runnin’ Bulldogs after receiving an associate’s degree in English from Louisburg College in 2005.

Harris is a native of Sewell, NJ and is a graduate of Washington Township High School.
