Mike Rucci

Mike Rucci, a three-time All-American at Rowan, begins his fifth season as an assistant coach with the Profs baseball team.

One of the top hitters in Rowan history, Rucci earned All-America honors from 2003 to 2005 and was named to the NJAC All-Conference first team and the All-Region team those three seasons. He helped Rowan to two NJAC championships (2003, 2004) and three appearances in the NCAA Tournament, in which the Profs advanced to the national championship tournament with regional titles in 2004 and 2005.
 
A catcher, Rucci played for the Profs from 2002 to 2005 and owned a career batting average of .346 while holding the school records for RBI in a season (61) and career (200). He still owns the career records for hits (228), doubles (56) and home runs (39) as well as for total bases in a season (132) and career (405). 
 
He graduated from Rowan in 2005 with a bachelor’s degree in elementary education and special education. Currently a fifth-grade teacher at Alice Costello Elementary School in Brooklawn, Rucci resides in Williamstown, NJ, with his wife, Brianna, and children, Hailey and Michael.
