HOBOKEN, NJ - #12 Stevens scored two straight goals, including one in the second half, to rally to defeat #14 Rowan, 2-1, in non-conference field hockey action today.
Gracie Merrick had the lone goal for the Profs.

Merrick got Rowan on the board just three minutes into the game when she took a pass from
Mia Foti on a corner and put it in the back of the cage at 2:59.

The Profs maintained the lead until 37:20 when the Ducks tied it up on a goal by Jenna Piantieri. Lauren Flynn scored the eventual gamewinner for Stevens at 48:10 and the Profs weren't able to get the equalizer.

Rowan held a 15-12 advantage in shots but Stevens was up in penalty corners, 9-7.
Ella Morton made three saves in goal for Rowan with her counterpart, Natalie Ward, made six.

The Profs (0-2) play their third straight road game on Wednesday when they visit #2 Johns Hopkins. Rowan opens the home season on Saturday against Mulhenberg at noon on "Youth Day". Admission is free to home games in Wackar Stadium.
