GLASSBORO, NJ -
Brayden Davis had three hits, including a home run, and
Evan McCoach and
Ian Murphy drove in multiple runs as the #13 Rowan baseball team rolled to a 19-0 win over Cairn, which ended after seven innings, in the Profs' home opener. It was the fifth consecutive win for Rowan (10-2) heading into the beginning of conference play this weekend.

Davis went 3-for-4, scored three runs and drove in two with his team-high sixth home run of the year. Murphy was 2-for-4 and collected four RBI with McCoach driving in three runs.
Nick Struble and
Mason Dorsey also had two RBI apiece.

Collin Denton (1-1) earned his first victory as a Prof as he allowed only one hit through five innings, while striking out three.
Jayson Dougherty and
Shane Sax closed out the game with an inning each as the three Profs combined for the shutout.

Rowan took a 5-0 lead from the start with Murphy and Struble each hitting two-run singles and Dorsey driving in one run with a base hit. The Profs upped it to 6-0 after two innings when
Damon Suriani scored on a ground out.

The Profs exploded for a season-high 11 runs in the fourth inning, starting with Davis' two-run home run. Among the other big hits in the inning were doubles by
Jason Schooley and
Jake Bartletta and two-run singles from McCoach and Murphy as Rowan sent 17 batters to the plate to increase the score to 17-0.

Rowan finished off the win with two runs in the fifth as Dorsey doubled and eventually scored and
Kevin Cole crossed the plate on a wild pitch.

The Profs open NJAC play on Saturday by hosting Ramapo in a doubleheader beginning at 11:30 a.m.
