Strong Outing by Coluccio and Homers by Sedalis and Struble Pace #16 Baseball Over Stockton, 10-2

GLASSBORO, NJ - Home runs by Phil Sedalis and Nick Struble, and eight strong innings from Zach Coluccio, paced #16 Rowan to a 10-2 win over Stockton in NJAC baseball action. The win ends a four-game losing streak for the Profs (15-6) while giving them their first conference victory (1-2).

Coluccio (3-0) allowed just one run and six hits through 8.0 innings and struck out seven, including two in the sixth inning. Luke Vaks closed out the win in the ninth, posting one strikeout.

Sedalis and Struble drove in three runs apiece and Jason Morgan had two RBI in the win.

Stockton took a 1-0 lead right away in the first as Joe Gmitter blasted one over the right field fence.

But Sedalis tied the game in the third with one swing, with a home run over the rightfield fence, for his sixth of the year.  Marco Mannino and Brayden Davis followed with singles and the Profs added three more runs with another swing as Struble hit his second home run of the year to give Rowan a 4-1 lead.

Rowan built the lead up to 6-1 in the fourth as Sedalis and Morgan drove in runs by each hitting a sacrifice fly which scored Dave Appolonia and Tyler Cannon, respectively.
The Profs added to their total in the fifth drawing six walks and one hit batsman, with four consecutive bases-loaded walks upped the score to 10-1.

Stockton got one back in the ninth when Gmitter hit his second home run of the game.

Rowan heads to Stockton on Friday for the second meeting in the two-game series and will then host Montclair State on Saturday in a doubleheader, beginning at 11:30 a.m.
