GLASSBORO, NJ --
Angela Oliveto scored a goal and assisted on another to help #11 Rowan post a 3-0 New Jersey Athletic Conference victory Wednesday evening.
The shutout is the tenth on the season for the Profs and seventh for freshman goalie
Leah Edinger.
Rowan netted both first-half goals exactly one minute apart.
Bella Moore netted her eighth tally of the season as she redirected a deflected pass from Oliveto and
Sara Wiedeman for the game's first goal.
Julianna Giordano made it 2-0 as she pinched in from her defensive spot and found a shooting lane just inside the box off a failed Kean clear attempt for her second on the year.
Oliveto, who now has points in four-consecutive games, capped the scoring in the 74th minute as she picked a back heel pass from
Hannah Ferris around a defender in the box to net her sixth goal.
Edinger and the Prof defense did not yield a shot while the offense produced 17 corner kicks. Cougar goalie Madison Gesualdo was kept busy all night, seeing a total of 40 shots and recording 12 saves.
The Profs will host Ramapo on Saturday on Senior Night with first touch starting at 5 p.m. After the contest, the Rowan Women's Soccer will have its alumni game as well.
