MEDFORD, MA - Allie Palumbo scored just minutes into the game, but #3 Tufts scored three straight to post a 3-1 win over #22 Rowan in the Second Round of the NCAA Division III Field Hockey Championship. The Profs end their season at 15-8 after winning 11 of their final 12 games.

Palumbo wasted no time, scoring just three minutes into the game on a corner after the insert pass from Paige Gray. It was the senior's 17th goal of the year.

Tufts tied it quickly, at 11:25, on a goal by Lainie Pearson and despite eight saves from Rowan's Mariah Juiliano in the first two periods, went ahead, 2-1, in the 25th minute.,The Jumbos put the game out of reach with five minutes to play.

Juiliano finished the contest with 13 saves as Tufts outshot Rowan, 28-7.

It marked Rowan's sixth trip to the NCAA Championship, and fourth straight, under head coach Michelle Andre, and the 22nd in the program's history. The Profs captured their fourth straight NJAC regular-season title and also won their fourth consecutive conference championship.
