GLASSBORO, NJ -- The USTFCCA honored
Jasmine Broadway (Psychology),
Emily Galvin (Data Science),
Molly Lodge (Computer Science), and
Kat Pedersen (Criminal Justice) on its NCAA Division III Women's Track & Field All-Academic Athlete list. The team also captured the Women's Track & Field All-Academic Teams honor as well.
ALL-ACADEMIC INDIVIDUALS | ALL-ACADEMIC TEAMS
To be considered for an All-Academic Athlete, the student-athlete must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.30 or higher through the most recently completed semester and meet one of the following athletic criteria: 1. Must have finished the indoor and/or outdoor season among the top 50 individuals as listed on the descending order lists on TFRRS. In addition, any athletes not among the top 50, but who participated at the Indoor or Outdoor National Championships, are eligible. 2. Must have competed as a member of one of the top 35 relay teams as listed on the indoor descending order list on TFRRS.
Teams must have a combined GPA of 3.10 or higher. The Profs came in at 3.43 as a squad.
Lodge and Pedersen were selected for the second year in a row while Broadway and Galvin earn the honor for the first time.
Broadway, Lodge, and Pedersen were a part of the 4x400 relay that finished eighth for All-American status at the indoor championships and more importantly, were the first relay in program history to earn the prestigious honor. In the outdoor championships, Broadway added her second All-America honor, placing fifth in the 200 meters. Galvin was second in the hammer throw for her All-America accolade. Broadway and Pedersen also competed on the 4x100 relay as well.
The Profs were third in the NJAC, third in the AARTFC and 52nd at the NCAA Championships during the indoor campaign. The outdoor season saw the Profs finish third in the NJAC, eighth in the AARTFC Region Championship, and place 17th overall at the NCAA Nationals.
