GLASSBORO, NJ -- Rowan improved to 7-0-1 in conference play as the Profs edged out William Paterson, 1-0, Saturday evening in an NJAC matchup.

Olivia Giordano put in her 12th goal of the season early in the second half while the Rowan defense did not allow a shot on net. Goalie Calista Burke ran her shutout streak to five games and notched her 11th clean sheet on the year.

Sarah Mantilla helped keep the Pioneers in the game, as the goalie registered 10 saves as William Paterson saw 23 Rowan shots on the night.

Mantilla's diving stop to her right in the 37th minute off a shot from Lauren SanFelice kept both teams scoreless heading into the half.

SanFelice helped set up Giordano's eventual game winner in the 49th minute with her fourth assist on the season. Giordano used a nice one-touch off the centering pass to put the home team ahead.

The regular season concludes on Wednesday, October 25th at Stockton. With a win, Rowan can clinch the top seed in the upcoming NJAC playoffs.
