GLASSBORO, NJ -- Nina Carlson scored twice and teammate Jillian Jankowski added a goal and an assist as Rowan defeated Manhattanville, 3-1, on a rainy Wednesday evening.

Carlson netted both goals in the first half to give the Profs a 2-0 lead. The first score came in the 10th minute as the senior put in her first on the season, off an assist from Natalie Pantalone. In the 32nd minute, Carlson struck again for first career two-goal game, working around a defender in the box to up the lead to two. Jankowski drew the assist.

The score bumped up to 3-0 in the 67th minute when Jankowski added her first tally on the year. Rookie Lianna SanFelice picked up her first collegiate point with the assist.

Rowan held a 25-3 shot advantage, keeping Manhattanville's Macey Girard busy as the goalie made 13 stops in the game. Prof keeper Calista Burke went the distance in net, to notch her second win in a row.

The Valiants got on the board in the 69th minute as Natalie Aracena converted on a penalty kick. Less than four minutes later, the Profs were awarded a penalty kick but the attempt went wide.

The team travels to Centenary on Saturday in the first of four-straight road contests. Action gets underway at 1 p.m.
