ELIZABETHTOWN, PA -
Julia Patrone scored a hat trick, and
Bridget Guinan and
Vanessa DiDonato had two goals each, to lead #3 Rowan to an 8-1 win over Elizabethtown in non-conference field hockey action today. The Profs, who won the NJAC regular-season title, are now 16-1 as they head into the final game of the regular season on Saturday.

For Patrone, it was her fourth three-goal effort of the season and the seventh of her career.

Patrone scored two goals in the first six minutes of the game as the Profs would run up an 8-0 lead. DiDonato notched her first goal of the game at 15:56 with the assist from
Kristiina Castagnola.

Bridget Guinan tallied her first goal of the win at 24:35 and
Liz Fox got into the act, scoring at 29:47 off a pass from Castagnola.

DiDonato tallied another just two minutes later, and Patrone finished out the hat trick two minutes after that to run the score up to 7-0. Guinan put Rowan's last goal of the game into the cage at 37:59.

Elizabethtown ended Rowan's shutout bid with a goal with four minutes to play.

Abby Hainsworth posted 45 shutout minutes in goal for Rowan without a save, with
Aida Ingram playing the fourth quarter. The Profs held a decisive 22-3 edge in shots, and a 7-0 advantage in penalty corners.

Rowan will host Ramapo on Saturday, October 29, for "Senior Day" as the Profs will honor
