SALISBURY, MD – The Rowan University softball team dropped two games at sixth ranked Salisbury University, 12-3 and 5-1.
The first game ended in five innings because of the eight run rule. The Profs had hits from shortstop

Kelly Duffy, catcher
Cali Kraemer, third baseman
Korie Hague and first baseman
Mackenzie Short. Kraemer drove in two runs and second baseman
Breanna Bryant had one RBI.
All of Rowan's runs came in the top of the fifth. Bryant's sacrifice fly scored pitcher
Alexa Saccomanno who got on base with a walk. Saccomanno advanced to third on a double by MacNair. Left fielder
Morgan Zane reached base on a fielder's choice. Duffy was hit by a pitch then was replaced by pinch runner
Sam Marasheski. Kraemer knocked in Zane and Marasheski with a double to right center.
Salisbury's Lindsey Windsor (4-1) pitched four innings for the win. She only allowed three hits and did not give up a run. At the plate, Windsor compiled two doubles, four RBIs and two runs.
Center fielder Abby Mace was three for three with three RBIs, one double, one home run and three runs. Catcher Kaleigh Edwards totaled four RBI with two hits (triple, home run) and scored one run.
In the second contest, the Sea Gulls led 3-0 after one run in the first, second and fourth innings. Rowan (4-4) scored in the top of the fifth and Salisbury (10-4) answered with a run in the bottom half. Pitcher
Cat Thomas walked and Marasheski took over at first base. Marasheski went to third on an error with Short at bat. Pinch runner
Brooke Rennar came in for Short. Rennar was caught stealing going to second while Marasheski scored.
Salisbury added a run in the sixth. Savannah Sheats was the winning pitcher. She (3-3) threw 6.1 innings, gave up two hits and allowed the run. Sheats struck out five batters. Third baseman Maddison Lednum and Windsor chipped in with two hits and one RBI apiece. Windsor also scored a run.
