Cavicchio's Goal and 2 Assists Helps #6 Field Hockey Defeat Arcadia, 4-0, for 7th Straight Win

Hovell Scores 100th Career Point

GLASSBORO, NJ – Freshman Julia Cavicchio had a goal and two assists as the sixth-ranked Rowan field hockey team shut out Arcadia, 4-0, in non-conference action as the Profs extended their winning streak to seven in a row.

Goalkeepers Abby Hainsworth and Aida Ingram combined for the shutout, which is Rowan's fourth straight. Rowan held a decisive 28-2 advantage in shots and Ingram made one save in the fourth quarter.

Krystyna Hovell started the scoring for the Profs eight minutes into the game when she tapped in a long ball from Cavicchio, to notch her 11th goal of the season and the 100th point of her career. She becomes the ninth Prof in school history to surpass the milestone.

Freshman Vanessa DiDonato scored her first collegiate goal at 18:56, off a rebound to put the Profs up 2-0 by halftime.

Cavicchio continued the scoring in the second half off a corner as Guinan set it up and Cavicchio took a blast from 10 yards out at 29:54.

Julia Patrone tallied her 11th goal of the year when she deflected a hard shot by Cavicchio at 44:31.

Rowan (3-1 NJAC) resumes conference play on Saturday, October 16 when it travels to Ramapo for a game starting at noon.
